Our Story

From the ground up

PipsPrice was founded with a clear purpose: to build better. Established over 15 years ago by a small team of construction professionals, we set out to deliver projects that genuinely improve the places where people live, work, and travel.

From our first modest contract — a commercial refurbishment in central London — we have grown into a multi-disciplinary group with three specialist operating companies, delivering projects from £500,000 to £55M across England.

Our growth has been deliberate and sustainable. We have never chased volume at the expense of quality. Every project we take on receives the same careful, personal attention from our leadership team, regardless of size or complexity.

Today, PipsPrice comprises three specialist companies — PipsPrice Construction, PipsPrice Civil Engineering, and PipsPrice Developments — each with its own leadership team and specialist expertise, and all united by the same values and standards that have defined us from the beginning.

Our History

Where We've Come From

2009

Foundation

PipsPrice Construction is founded in London by Robert Whitfield and two partners. The company secures its first project — a commercial refurbishment in the City — within four months.

2013

First Major Contract

PipsPrice wins its first contract above £10M — a residential development in South London. The project is delivered ahead of programme and sparks significant growth in the residential pipeline.

2016

PipsPrice Civil Engineering Established

Responding to growing demand for infrastructure works, PipsPrice establishes its civil engineering specialist arm. Mark Patterson joins as MD from a national civil contractor.

2019

PipsPrice Developments Launched

PipsPrice Developments is formed to take advantage of the group's construction expertise on its own promoted schemes. The company's first scheme — a 45-unit residential development in Surrey — sells out in eight weeks.

2022

CIOB Award & Regional Expansion

PipsPrice wins the CIOB Award for SME Contractor of the Year and opens a second regional office in Manchester, serving the growing pipeline of projects in the North of England.

2024

Record Year

PipsPrice delivers its busiest year to date — eight major projects completed across all three companies, including the award-winning Whitmore Commercial Tower and St. Cuthbert's Hospital Wing.
